Private encrypted rooms
A two-token room for secrets that should not become chat history.
Paid users can create an ephemeral encrypted room by invite link or directly to another Shhhs token. The room is capped at two participants, expires by plan, and stores ciphertext with metadata only.
Two ways to start a room
Create an invite link for someone who should join from any Shhhs token, or create a direct token room that appears for a known token holder.

End-to-end encrypted by design
Invite rooms keep the room key in the browser fragment. Direct token rooms wrap the room key for each account token. The Worker stores encrypted messages, IVs, timestamps, and participant metadata.

Private Chat is intentionally bounded. Bundle users get a small number of short rooms; Pro, Team, and Enterprise get higher active-room and message limits.

Is Shhhs Private Chat a normal chat app?
No. It is a short-lived encrypted handoff room for secrets and operational context, not a permanent messenger.
Can Shhhs read chat messages?
No. Messages are encrypted locally. The server stores ciphertext and metadata only.
Who can create private chats?
Paid accounts can create rooms. Recipients can join through an invite with their own Shhhs token, including a Free token.
What is a direct token room?
It is a private room created for a known Shhhs token holder. The room key is wrapped for both tokens, so no invite fragment has to be exchanged.
